Hi everyone!
Sorry that a blog or review hasn’t been up in a while; we have been busy designing and building a forum for this website. The problem we had was in determining what forum subject matter would be relevant. A lot of websites have forums for their communities, and some of the subject headings are used or not used – seem unimportant or not necessary.
We want our forums to have an impact on what is important to the Catholic Metal community.
I have already had some emails concerning equipment and recording techniques. We have also had numerous emails concerning brand new Catholic Metal bands from all over the planet (thanks Marin of Effa Tha for keeping me in the loop with our Eastern European Catholic Metal bretheren!!). Something else that I consider to be very important is the requests we have experienced (either through personal emails or otherwise) for prayer. While Catholic Metal is a musician’s website, we have to also take into consideration our need for prayer for each other and for/from our community. My Catholic Metal business card says “Pray the Rosary Daily!” and I try to share that message as much as I can.
We originally thought we would surprise everyone by having the forum up this past Monday; but we ran into some technical problems which will hopefully be solved by the end of this week. Some of the forum subjects are: Prayer Requests, Recording Questions/Comments, Songwriting, Lyric writing, Bible Readings, and Miscellaneous. Simplicity is best when designing a forum – so we will start with this format. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to make the forum better, please send your comments at the end of this blog entry.
