We are really excited here. Have written and recorded a power metal version of “Salve Regina” (old-school of course!) with some symphonic elements. Am now in the long process of mixing/producing the recording to the best quality I can.
I had to modify the lyrics a bit to fit rhythmic sequences. They are as follows:
(Vs. 1)
We have been banished, poor children of Eve.
O, Mother, lend your ear.
To Thee we send our sighs; mourning and weeping here, here in this vale of tears.
After this our exile of suffering and gloom.
Show unto us the Blessed Fruit of your womb…
(Chorus)
Salve Regina, O, Mater, misericordiae
Hail to the holy queen, O Mother, to thee we pray
(Vs.2) -Pray it!
Our sweetness and are hope; most gracious advocate; mother of mercy.
We are in battle here. Please intercede for us. Turn then your eyes to us.
After this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
(Chorus)
Salve Regina, O, Mater, misericordiea
Hail to the holy queen, O Mother, to thee we pray
Ora pro nobis
[Face ripping guitar lead :-)]
Salve… Salve

July 11, 2013 at 11:22 am #1541Hey, Dave. Thanks for the response. Yes, the planned release date is August 22, the Feast of the Queenship of Mary. I have three of my daughters joining me on certain vocal parts, particularly, “Salve, salve…” So that would be “Metal with Minors”!
Will be doing the Novena of Our Lady’s Queenship feast leading up to the release.
May Our Lady obtain many graces for all the CatholicMetal.com members and friends.
