Hi everyone! There has been a lot of questions and email about “Praising Him Loudly: Volume 3″ and I need to make sure that these questions and comments are answered properly. I have responded to these questions on an individual basis but there has been very similar concerns expressed and I thought I would make sure that they are addressed in this post tonight!
1) Your submissions do not have to be “new” material. If you have older songs and don’t have the time to create new music for this album; please consider submitting a song that is a little older. What is key here is that it has not been on any prior release by the Catholic Metal community. If you have already put the song up on Youtube or other forms of social media – that is okay…just as long as it hasn’t been on a prior Catholic Metal release. I’m hoping that this project will not limit anyone in terms of the costs of going to a studio to record a new song. If you have it done already – consider submitting it.
2) I have had people let me preview their material already…what an honour! Please don’t even think of the question “Is my song ‘metal’ enough?” Metal has so many genres that this question should not really be asked. If your music sounds like any form of metal – that’s great! As long as we don’t sound like any boy bands from the early 90s – the next album ought to be okay. LOL!!
3) I have also had people ask about lyrics. First of all, there should be no swearing or other vulgarities in the lyrics. We are “metal” – but foremost – we are “Catholic!” Our lyrics should reflect the beliefs and teachings of the Holy Catholic Church. If anyone has some concerns about their lyrics and you need some help, please send me a copy of the lyrics – send them to dave@catholicmetal.com and I will get right back to you asap!!

I think that Mr. Corgan might like our community’s music…after all, I don’t think any of us sound like U2!
